Enserva Policy Position | Bill C-59 – Competition Act Amendments

Enserva opposes the Competition Act amendments included in Bill C-59, which were added without consultation and create significant legal and regulatory uncertainty for Canadian businesses. The changes place an unfair burden on companies actively working to reduce emissions through innovation, exacerbated by significant uncertainties within the new clauses, such as adhering to undefined “internationally recognized methodology.” Enserva calls for the repeal of these amendments and urges the government to commit to transparent, consultative policymaking.
