Steve is a Senior Partner at Bennett Jones, LLP where he specializes in Civil Litigation, including Contracts, Energy, Constitutional, Fraud Recovery, Real Estate, and Shareholder Litigation.
He holds a Juris Doctor (University of Calgary), a Bachelor of Commerce (Queen’s University), and also speaks French.
Steve continues to be a passionate advocate for the Canadian energy industry, often speaking about it at Canadian universities, and has recently served with his wife Jenn as Chairs of the 71st Canadian Energy Executive Association (“CEEA”). He is the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Calgary Flames Ambassadors’ Charity Poker Tournament, which has raised over $7M in 18 years; was a 20-year volunteer for the Calgary Stampede; and was the President of the Calgary Bar Association.
Steve was appointed as King’s Counsel in 2022 and was also awarded the Queen’s Platinum (70th) Jubilee Medal for his community service.
Steve and Jenn have raised and are proud of their two adult children.
