On September 12, Enserva members converged on The Hamptons Golf Club for the annual Enserva Classic Golf Tournament. It was a perfect day for golf– warm, but not hot, with just a light breeze.
Over 100 golfers and 23 sponsors helped raise $60,000 toward energy security in Canada.
David McHattie, VP Institutional Relations Tenaris in Canada, Enserva Board Member and Enserva Golf Classic Chair said, “I’m so thrilled that Enserva members continue to prioritize support for the communities where we collectively operate, in particular, contributing funds to raise awareness of energy insecurity even in Canada. The funds will help empower energy security in remote Indigenous communities in Canada. The record amount raised at this year’s Golf Classic lays the groundwork for future tournaments.”
Keynote speaker Shannon Joseph, chair of Energy for a Secure Future, provided insightful remarks over the dinner portion of the event. Highlighting the needs of remote and Indigenous communities in Canada, Enserva members were made aware of how collaboration is critical to bring solutions to rectify the lack of energy security in many of these communities.
