Enserva is aware of Bill C-50, the Canadian Sustainable Jobs Act, which was unveiled yesterday in the House of Commons. Enserva has always advocated on behalf of the energy service sector and is committed to working with all levels of government to ensure its members are heard. Enserva’s priority is its members in Canada’s oil and gas service, supply and manufacturing sector, which will continue to play a pivotal role in global energy supply for decades to come.
Other energy-producing nations have already invested vast amounts of money into strategies to continue the energy evolution with high-quality jobs, cutting-edge technology, and innovation.
Conversely, Bill C-50 merely promises ‘the creation of decent work’.
Our industry needs more from our federal government to maintain Canada’s reputation as a top provider of energy to the world. We must ensure that our voices are heard. As a representing body of 400,000 energy service workers across Canada, we welcome being involved in future discussions on Bill C-50.
